Valentine’s Day Activities for your Preschooler

Does your toddler need all the activities to keep them entertained? Here are some of our favorites that Emma has LOVED during Valentines season.

Conversation Heart Sensory Bin

I have to be honest and conversation hearts are not my thing….but they make great fillers for a sensory bin. Grab a bag for $1 and let your little ones practice color sorting, patterns, counting, word sorting and even stacking using those fine motor skills. Grab these pattern cards in the link below:

Magical Heart Wands

All you need for this activity is some pipe cleaners and pony beads. Form the pipe cleaners to have a heart at the end and then place the beads out for your toddler to reach. Let them practice lacing the beads onto the pipe cleaner. This is a great activity for colors, patterns, fine motor skills and make believe!

Chocolate Play Dough

This was a definite favorite! We made the play dough together and then Emma played with this for two hours! The recipe is super easy, fair warning though it does contain cocoa powder so it even smells like chocolate! When the play dough was ready, we added confetti and hearts from the Dollar Tree and Printables from @projectmommy03

Love Potions Sensory Play

One of the things my girls love is to make potions with water! This is an easy setup and really doesn’t need much for hours of fun! I froze some rose petals in heart shape pan and then added flowers, containers, spoons, droppers and gems(whatever you have laying around!). These cute printables are from @juneandjoypaperie-be sure to check out her cute shop!
