Salt Dough Magnet Valentines

This year may look a little different for Valentine’s in the classroom but we are still finding ways to make it feel special!

It’s been really hard this year not being able to go into the classroom and volunteer every week, especially in my daughter’s Kindergarten class. Being able to still help the teachers put together small class parties still has helped make things seem “normal” on holidays.

We make these salt dough magnet kits for each kid to paint during their Valentine’s Day Party.

Salt Dough Ingredients

2 cups of flour

1 cup of salt

3/4 cup of water (keep adding until you get to the consistency that isn’t sticky)

Roll out dough until about 1/4 thick and smooth. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. We used a small hand and little heart.

Lay out shapes on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 200 degrees.

When the salt dough is finish, add to a bag with paint tray, paintbrush, small magnet for the back and could even add a small picture. Tie everything up with yarn and a cute tag! This one is from @theeverco
